Televisa Deportes Mobile Application

yalla ya! recently developed and released a mobile application for the large Televisa network. Televisa Deportes is one of the first applications to be developed for the Nokia S60 3rd Edition Series in Mexico.

The application can be installed from the Televisa Deportes portal or through Nokia OVI Store, which is the app store for Nokia, where it highlights Televisa to be the first Mexican company to reach this channel.

Televisa Deportes mobile application allows the users easy access to sports news, photos and videos with a minute to minute score updates.

Mobile applications are becoming more popular to companies who wish to position themselves on the mobile world; the rising popularity of Smart Phones on the market is a great niche for those trying to reach their market in any place.

Mobile applications are not websites; there is a big difference between a website and a mobile application, the first and most important is that the mobile application is installed and loaded on the phone’s home screen, whereas a website should be accessed through a browser or a bookmark and is less visible to the users, thus making them less concious of it. Secondly, the mobile applications can be accessed while offline, and if connected, they tend to consume less bandwidth – since it requests for data only; other navigation graphics and logic are embed on the mobile application.
